Please be aware that the CISRS 1 day Skills Assessment must also be successfully completed before you are eligible to obtain a CISRS Scaffolder card.
Literacy and language comprehension are important requirements on all courses.

•Conforming to general safety in the workplace
•Confirming to efficient working practices in the workplace
•Moving and handling resources in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling independent and birdcage scaffolds in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling mobile and static scaffold towers in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling cantilever scaffolds in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling pavement or roof scaffolds in the workplace
•Utilising provision of fall protection systems in the workplace
To be eligible to apply for this card, candidates must successfully complete the following elements of training;
1. CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 course
2. CISRS Scaffolding Part 2 course
3. Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) Scaffolding
4. CISRS 1 Day Skills Assessment
Certification for all of the above courses will need to be attached to your CISRS Scaffolder card application form for it to be issued. See the relevant course descriptions and our training route flowchart for further information.
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) Scaffolding is aimed at those already working within the scaffolding industry who wish to become a CISRS card holding scaffolder (for further information see pre-requisites for candidates below).
Course Aims
To gain a formal level 2 qualification and recognition of practical ability and competence recognised within the scaffolding industryCourse Entry Requirements
Candidates must have successfully completed a Part 1 and Part 2 CISRS tube and fitting scaffolding course (or similar i.e. assessed route of entry) and be able to provide evidence of the aforementioned in the form of certificates (unless they were completed at LTC Training Services in which case we will hold a copy on file).Please be aware that the CISRS 1 day Skills Assessment must also be successfully completed before you are eligible to obtain a CISRS Scaffolder card.

Course Content
Assessment is done through the process of generating and collecting work based evidence from site in the form of a portfolio of evidence (photos, hand-over certificates, risk assessments etc). Our assessor will make a judgment against specified performance criteria as to whether an individual is able to demonstrate competence in the following areas:•Conforming to general safety in the workplace

•Moving and handling resources in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling independent and birdcage scaffolds in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling mobile and static scaffold towers in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling cantilever scaffolds in the workplace
•Erecting and dismantling pavement or roof scaffolds in the workplace
•Utilising provision of fall protection systems in the workplace
Who will benefit
The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS Scaffolder card.To be eligible to apply for this card, candidates must successfully complete the following elements of training;
