Oldway Mansion in Paignton, Devon, is a Grade II* listed Victorian mansion, originally built in 1873 for Isaac Singer, founder of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. It’s known for its French Renaissance style, inspired by the Palace of Versailles, and its opulent interiors. The mansion has served various purposes throughout its history, including a war hospital, a country club, and council offices and is now part of a £9m (Phase One) restoration project.
