Course Aims

The aim of this course is to give candidates an understanding of basic scaffold structures, safety and legislative issues relating to scaffolding and give candidates such knowledge so as to enable them to identify the minimum requirements that a scaffold structure should meet to be deemed safe under the Work at Height Regulations 2005

Please Note: As of July 2014 the Scaffold Appreciation course has been extended to include the regime of scaffold inspections. However please be aware that this is aimed at low risk/ standard type structures and it will be at the discretion of the employer if they deem their staff who have attended the Scaffold Appreciation course competent to carry out such inspections.

LTC Training Services also offers the accredited CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection 3 Day Course which should be undertaken by those wishing to achieve the CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspectors card and inspect basic and some simple designed scaffolding structures in traditional tube & fitting.

Course Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications or experience are necessary, but it would be beneficial if candidates have had some experience of working with or around scaffolding structures and a basic understanding of work at height issues.

Literacy and language comprehension are important requirements on all courses.

Any physical impairment or literacy issues should be discussed with LTC Training Services prior to making a booking so we can best accommodate your needs.
