At the time of writing this article we have 39 members of staff (office and management). The combined continuous length of employment is 428 years which is an average of nearly 11 years per member of staff. 19 of the 39 have over 10 years continuous service, with 69% over 5 years service. We believe these figures demonstrate the company’s values work. It’s a testament to the Directors, Managers and all the staff that “people want to stay”
Danny joined LTC in April 2012 as an Apprentice Scaffolder when he was 18 years old. This was following a government 2 back to work programme with Ascent. He attended Simian College in Warrington where he completed his NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging – Scaffolding (Construction) in January 2014. He has since attended several other courses including IPAF Operators, CISRS HAKI Product training, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness and more recently the CISRS CPD Refresher training. Danny was then identified as a possible future charge hand and therefore recently attended the CITB Site Safety Plus course for Site Supervisor Safety Training.
Danny attended Eggbuckland school achieving grade C’s & D’s in his GCSE’s. He stated he always wanted to work in Construction eventually choosing scaffolding as he preferred profession.
Danny has worked on various types of projects including Housing, Construction, Streetworks and Specialist works eg Tamar Bridge. Working as a chargehand ( site supervisor) means he successfully liaises with the Site Agents/Project Managers regarding programme of works, resources required and manages the safe work load of the other LTC operatives on that site.
We look forward to Danny progressing with the company which will include training for his LGV license and gaining more experience on advanced /complicated structures/scaffolds and becoming one of our most trusted scaffold team leaders.
